A private page for
Conifer area neighbors
who like to cruise

PLEASE NOTE:  This is a private page.
You're welcome to navigate away to other pages in this website,
but if you wish to return to this page you'll need to re-enter the URL you were given.
Do you live in land-locked Conifer or neighboring towns?
Do you like to cruise on the ocean as much as you like to cruise around the mountains?
Then the Conifer Cruisers group is for you!
Of course, family and friends from anywhere are welcome too!
Hi, I'm Lyz.  I'm a Conifer neighbor, and I own CruiseTechies and LightLady Design.
I cruise about twice a year, and while I don't mind going on my own, it's always fun to go with a few friends!
So I created this page to let you know when I'm next cruising, and to invite you to come along with me!
Or create your own cruise, and I'll list it on this page, and may even come along!
EVERYONE is welcome.  Solos.  Couples.  Families.  And I mean EVERYONE!

SOME THINGS TO KNOW...
I only book cruises on Norwegian Cruise Lines.  (They are the only cruise line that will allow me to interview stage crew for my blog.)
I consider NCL the Goldilocks cruise line; "just right", in between the "party" cruises lines and the "evening gown" cruise lines.
NCL really welcomes Solo (not 'singles' looking for a hook up!) travelers.  Most of their ships have Solo cabins with no solo-supplement, and extra perks!
I typically book shorter cruises - 4 to 5 nights.
Being in Colorado, we're really only a couple hours from most cruise ports in this country, so most flights aren't much more than two hours.
If you come on a cruise with me, I can book the cruise for you, or you can book it yourself.   Your rates are the same either way.
Disclaimer: I'm not out to make money off of this(!) - and I don't book cruises for others, unless it's a cruise I'm going on.  But, just to let you know, if I book for you, I do receive a commission from NCL.
Of course, you're always welcome to book on another cruise line!  And I may come with you!

Even if I book your cruise, you'll be responsible for booking your own: flights, hotel (for night before cruise), shuttle (if hotel doesn't have), shore excursions.  However, I will provide you with information about all of that!

I was amused by people living in the mountains loving cruising at sea,
so I created a logo and put it on a t-shirt!

Join the club!  You can order a shirt for yourself here.

MAP YOUR PAST CRUISES
Picture
And when you're back from your cruises, you can order your own commemorative map of your cruise from The Cruise Maps!
(Use the discount code CRUISETECHIES, to get 10% off!)

These maps use the AIS maritime tracking system that tracks the actual route your cruise took!  On the left is a map of the actual route I once sailed from Long Beach to Catalina Island and Ensenda, with one day at sea! As you can see, we sailed around in a circle overnight!

The AIS evolved in 2015, however you can still order maps for the presumed route of the cruises you took before then.  The map on the right is the route my first "cruise ship" took - although they were referred to as "ocean liners" in those days! - when I emigrated from England (for the first time, long story) back in the day...

You can also download the free Cruise Globe website or app to keep track of all of your cruises in one place.
