No, that’s not a cruise ship behind my son and I.  It’s the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston.  But, it’s as long as, if not longer than, a cruise ship, at 1560', and you definitely get your steps in!
 
No blog post today, because I’m in Houston for the FIRST Robotics Annual World Championship.  My son was in robotics throughout high school, and is now a team mentor.  As for me, I rose up through the volunteer ranks and am now a Judge Advisor.  As my other son says, I got a raise from $0 to $00!

When you book your Discovery Cruise you have the option that I can also book your flights with the cruise line, or you can book your own.  It may seem easier to just let the cruise line do it, and sometimes it’s seems like that’s a good deal (for instance, Norwegian often have ‘2nd passenger flies free’ offers).
